Naturally simple – right from the start
REVOIS® : PRO is a modification of the original REVOIS® system based on user experiences and needs. It was developed by surgeons and prosthodontists in collaboration with the RIEMSER R+D team. The upshot is a unique concept for implant dentistry which combines a design well tested in the office setting with the latest scientific evidence and easy handling.

Design

Bacterial colonization of the abutment – implant interface causes infl ammation of neighboring tissues. The BanCone of the REVOIS® PRO implant with its tapered wall above the internal hex guarantees a stable press fit of the abutment on the implant. This keeps bacteria away from the interface. Crestal remodeling is suppressed so that the bone volume is stable and micromotions of the abutment on the implant are prevented.
This ensures accurate impressions, enhances the precision of the subsequent prosthodontic work and guarantees long-term abutment stability, as the abutment screw is fi rmly secured.
Circular Loop – controls forces
Functional circular reinforcement – for a long-life implant-abutment junction
The mechanical stability of the implant body particularly at the delicate implant-abutment interface is key for the long-term function of implants. Thanks to the special design of the REVOIS® PRO interface, i.e. its circular loop, the longevity of the interface is increased way beyond the prescribed standard. High mechanical stresses, e.g. non-axial forces, are absorbed at the interface. As a result, the restoration is stable and functional for years.
Tripple MicroThread – preserves hard tissue
Increased cortical surface area – keeps hard tissue stable
Cortical bone responds to peak stresses on the implant body by remodeling. This often causes bone loss. Unique for REVOIS® PRO, the double thread of the implant body is contiguous with the triple thread at the implant neck. This design expands the cortical surface area and uniformly transfers the forces acting on the implant body to the bone so that remodeling is prevented and the bone is stable.

Primary implant stability is key for early and successful osseointegration. Together with the conical implant body of the REVOIS® PRO implant the progressive thread makes sure that the implant is well anchored in the host bone. The incremental pitch of the thread upwards evenly distributes the forces so that implants heal well and can be loaded immediately.

Self-tapping double thread design – for easy and time-saving implant placement
Cutting down the operating time is what every surgeon and patient would like. REVOIS® PRO reduces the chairside time, because it does not need more than a 4-step drilling protocol. Its self-tapping double thread, which can be used for Lekholm D2 to D4 bone qualities, obviates pretapping. The notches in the inferior part of the implant take up the debris. The implant can thus be easily seated without any further manipulations.

High primary stability is often achieved by perfectly conical implant bodies. However, this design distributes the forces inappropriately to various hard tissue layers. REVOIS® PRO tailors the forces to the hard tissue layers in a simple way: The implant body seated in cancellous bone, which can be predictably compressed, is conical, while its neck is cylindrical. As a result, the forces are intelligently transferred to different hard tissue layers and the host bone is preserved.
Sinus-Safe – for more safety at border lines
Circularly rounded implant tip – for safer sinus lift treatment
Sinus lifting combined with implant placement is a sophisticated technique. It needs an implant which leaves the sinus membrane intact when impinging on it. Here again the intelligent design of REVOIS® PRO proves its worth. Thanks to its circularly rounded tip it usually leaves the sinus membrane or other structures (nasal fl oor, mandibular nerve) intact, when seated in the cavity as recommended.
Biology
Natural barrier – for preventing peri-implantitis and preserving hard tissue
Evidence gathered in the past years showed that the biologic width is an important factor for predicting the success of implants. Placed subcrestally, REVOIS® PRO imitates the biologic width of the periodontal ligament. Together with integrated platform switching it thus forms a natural barrier keeping away bacteria. The unique design of the pre-drilled long tulipshaped bevel above the implant shoulder built into the prostho dontic components prevents periimplantitis.

State-of-the-art implants should support the tissue ongrowth on the implant body in order to maintain both the bone volume and the gingiva. Cost cutting by fewer components is another important issue in the office setting. REVOIS® PRO with integrated platform
switching meets both requirements. Platform switching respects the biologic factors underlying the ongrowth of bone and gingiva. In addition, it makes sure that any prosthodontic component can be mounted on all implant sizes of the system. As a result, the tissue volume is maintained, less material is required and the esthetic outcome is most convincing.

Hydrophilic surface – for easier hard tissue ongrowth
BioTexture implant surface – for reliable healing
The hydrophilicity of a surface is an important determinant of cell ongrowth. The high-energy BioTexture surface of REVOIS® PRO implants is highly hydrophilic. One effect of its hydrophilicity is easily seen: When coming into contact with the surface, fluids virtually creep up along it. Together with the micro/nan-roughness of the implant surface hydrophilicity is instrumental for implant osseointegration. It makes immediate loading of implants more predictable.
Osseointegration – for reliable healing
BioTexture implant surface – for predictable healing
Micro- and nano-roughness implant surfaces improve and accelerate implant osseointegration. The BioTexture surface of REVOIS® PRO with an optimal micro/ nanoroughness ratio provides an ideal surface geometry for the ongrowth of bone cells. Guided osteoblast colonization of the surface (osteoconduction) to the interface level is another asset. It ensures that even the horizontal shoulder of the implant is ensheathed by hard tissue. This supports the soft tissue and makes implant success more predictable.
